Booth rubbed his chin, attempting to find the solution that would allow both of them to get some shut eye. There were no beds in the Jeffersonian, except for the ones Angela and Hodgins used to- not the answer to their dilema... Last thing Booth wanted was tell Bones, "Hey! There's a bed there, lets crawl inside it together!"... That would be so not cool... He then noticed where he was sitting and it hit him. "Well there's always this couch. You can sleep here and I'll just lay down on the floor. How about that? It isn't the best solution, but it's all I got so...", he shrugged and smiled at her. The coach was big enough for two, but they would have to squeeze together a bit and Bones would probably find it a bit awkward and all that.

Brennan shook her head. Only Booth would be okay with sleeping on the floor. He didn't even begin to understand how guilty she'd feel sleeping on a comfortable couch when he was on a much less comfortable floor. "No way am I letting you sleep on the floor, Booth. I can just...sleep right here."

"No way Bones, chairs are for sitting and working, couches are for snoozing. Besides, what kind of a gentleman would I be if I let you sleep there, it's too uncomfortable.", he said as he stood up and walked towards her, only then to gently take the papers she was working on and placing them to the side, with care so as not to deorganize the papers. "Besides... When I was in the Rangers all we had underneath us while we slept was either our riffles or a pile of rocks. Compared to that the rug is a soft and fluffy cloud or something like that.", he said and then grabbed her by her hands gently before continuing, directing her to the couch, "Now you are going to lay down and let the Sandman do his job.", he pointed at the couch and smiled at her. Finally she was going to get some sleep. He wouldn't mind laying down on the floor a bit and slide off when she fell asleep, after all, she looked exhausted.

"You don't need to be a gentleman. I'll be fine right here," she assured Booth, watching as he picked up the paperwork and set it aside. But despite her protests, she was already being led towards the couch.

"Yeah, well Bones you can't choose when to be a gentleman, you either are or you ain't one, you can't just turn it on or off so...", he smiled at her as he led her to the couch. He gently made her sit on the couch and continued, "Now... We had a deal so lay your pretty head on the arm of the couch and sleep.", he stood there, smiling slightly but crossing his arms and waiting for her to go to sleep. If she didn't say anything and fall alseep, he would place his coat on top of her to keep her warm and be on his way, though if she noticed he was about to do that, he would just have to comply to her "demands".

"You can't turn it off just once?" Already considering herself defeated, Brennan curled up on the couch, pretty positive that it'd never felt so comfortable. Her eyelids began to feel heavy, and she had to fight to keep them from falling shut. Brennan let out a wide yawn, absently tugging at a loose string on the couch. She folded an arm and rested her head on it.

"Nope", Booth said with a smile as he took off his coat and placed it on top of Bones, tuking her in and making sure it would keep her warm. It was then that he realized something; he realized he had won an argument with her, which was something really, really, REALLY rare given her personality and all. He looked at her as she fought against the Sandman, waiting for her to fall asleep so he could go back to his house and do something like playing one of PArker's video games or something. He just wanted to make sure she wasn't working, but sleeping.

"I don't need your coat," Brennan mumbled, followed by another yawn. The thought that she could always fake slumber until Booth snuck away (she knew him too well) and she could finish all that paperwork before she fell asleep cropped up in her brain, and she tried to figure out how to do it without drifting off.
Brennan shifted absently on the couch, trying to find a position that was decent, but not so as to cause her to drift off right away.

"It's a bit chilly in here so just take it.", Booth said with a smile as he layed down on the floor, using his hands as a pillow by crossing them and placing them under his head. He looked up at the ceiling, waiting for Bones to go to sleep so he could slip away unnoticed. A few minutes past and she hadn't started sleeping. Booth knew she wasn't because, she was probably not aware, that every time she slept, she would make a soft sound through her nose that was unnoticeable to some, but Booth noticed it when he caught her sleeping once on top of her paperwork once. Though he remained quiet and looking up at the ceiling, waiting for that small sound to softly echo throughout the office.

Brennan suppressed a small smile at the order. She could have just grabbed her lab coat and draped it over herself, but there was something about the warmth of Booth's coat that made her feel secure.
After the small while had passed by and Booth still hadn't snuck off, Brennan was left wondering if he knew she wasn't asleep. How could he, though? She felt like she was fairly convincing. The anthropologist was contemplating giving up on feigning sleep, but if he slipped off it would be the perfect opportunity to finish what she needed to finish so she could get some actual rest, unbothered by the nagging of unfinished work.
On the other hand, perhaps by some miracle Booth would end up asleep on the floor, and maybe she would forget the work and just sleep until morning so she wouldn't disturb him.
