 It's been fifteen years. Fifteen short years since the last time the Accords were signed, and all the terror that came with it. Many on both sides died that night, and many more were injured. The good to come about almost burned out the tragedy. The creation of the Alliance rune, and a sense of peace between the Nephilim and Downworlders. The Clave, to replenish their extremely dwindling numbers, has taken an extreme; they have used the Mortal Cup once again on the children of the world. Unlike Valentine, they took the care to make sure the children would survive.
Since then, the Clave has decided to fix its broken relationship with Downworlders. They haven’t gone as far as to remove the wards around Alicante, but they have taken a step in the right direction. Outside the border of Idris and France, a little bit out of a very small town named Dube, a school has been built. Called Raziel Academy, they accept teenagers from the five races; Fair Folk, Werewolf, Vampire, Warlock, and Nephilim. The goal being to unite the youth together. In the past thirteen years of the school’s functioning, it seems to be working. But another problem is arising. An invisible, faceless, nameless group is forming within the walls. A group that is eerily familiar to the entire supernatural world; a new Circle. Led by Robert Willowdale, it shares an ideal with Valentine’s Circle; to eliminate all Downworlders. But another group seems to be forming in retaliation. Led by Jessica Green, a new Shadowhunter, she sees Downworlders as equal to the Shadowhunters.
And something new is happening. A new artifact with a huge, ancient power has recently been discovered. No one knows what it does, or how its power works. The artifact takes the shape of a shield. Many are thinking it could be another Mortal Instrument, and some have even gone far enough to call it the Mortal Shield. If it got into the wrong hands, and they could tap into its power… what could happen?
